November is always a BIG MONTH for Thrive Clermont! It’s our Birthday Month!

In November 2015, Thrive Founder, Sheri Lewin, along with original Board members, Julia Gatewood, Mary LaChiusa, and Christine Notartomaso filed the incorporation papers for Thrive Clermont Inc.  And thus began the journey of our grassroots, community-supported organization that has now served over 3,700 students through educational, recreational and leadership programs. We look forward to sharing and celebrating many highlights from the past 10 years here  with you during 2026.

Jumping forward to this year, November 2025, our teams were busy. The Teen Advisory Council (TAC) had their monthly meeting on November 7th at the Mainstreet Community Bank, where they discussed details for the November workshop along with some early planning for 2026. Our video team also recorded short testimonials of TAC members to be used for video reels for 2026 TAC recruiting.  

On November 11, Thrive hosted its final educational workshop of the season, Car Buying 101. Participants learned how to properly finance their cars,how insurance works, and how to make smart financial choices for a high credit score to prepare for the future. Professionals from Napleton Clermont and Heather Thies State Farm Agency brought real world experience and knowledge.  The workshop included a chinese buffet and dessert donated by Culver’s of Clermont. Yum!

80% of students who attended the workshop reported an increase in knowledge and confidence on how to navigate their own future finances and purchases.

Thrive will be wrapping up the year with two fundraisers.

One online fundraiser and one in person event to support our 2026 programs.
