Thrive Clermont's August Newsletter
Thrive has had a busy August with the new additions to the Teen Advisory Council, preparations for Teens Got Talent Showcase, and a successful shoe drive!
At the August meeting of Thrive’s Teen Advisory Council (TAC), our new fall student members participated in an onboarding session to learn more about their roles, responsibilities, and how they can help Thrive continue to grow. The 15 members of the TAC represent six schools including home schoolers of South Lake County and provide a diverse learning atmosphere. The meeting gave students an opportunity to begin building essential leadership skills and learn more about how they can contribute to Thrive’s programs and initiatives throughout the year.
Thrive also announced the final selection of talented performers for the Teens Got Talent Showcase! We can’t wait to see these young performers on October 22 at 7:00 PM at the Clermont Performing Arts Center. Get your tickets now! https://clermontperformingarts.com/teens-got-talent/
Teens Got Talent Showcase General admission tickets are $20, with VIP options available for an additional cost.
Finally, our shoe drive officially concluded on August 8! We are excited to share that we collected 310 pounds of shoes, which will be donated to communities in developing countries.
Coming up in September, Thrive will be attending the South Lake Chamber Breakfast where the team will celebrate 10 years of Chamber membership and promote our fall program, Teens Got Talent Showcase.
