Thrive Clermont honors late Board Member, Dr Danielle Archer,
and announces plans for expanded access to mental health resources for teens.
Thrive Clermont announces the Dr. Danielle Archer Memorial Fund and invites donations to support access to mental health resources for teens through Thrive’s empowering teens programming.
THRIVE’S EMPOWERING TEENS PROGRAMMING offers year-round education, recreation and leadership programs and events for 700+ students annually. Dynamic opportunities are provided through three existing programs: Summer PopUps, the Adulting Program and the Teen Advisory Council Leadership Program. All services are offered outside of school for any students ages 13-18 years of age regardless of income, ethnicity, religion, gender, or education. Programs support the mental, physical, and behavioral health of teens and promote healthy choices and good decisions. Thrive has served over 3,000 teens since their founding in 2016.
Dr. Danielle Archer LMHC LPC was a mental performance and wellness coach who proudly called herself a “high performing therapist for high performing clients”. In her career, she served many clients; youth in the Guardian Ad Litem program, Professional Athletes and Musicians. Her professional volunteering included her roles at Thrive as well as presenting on a wide variety of Mental Health Topics at music industry conferences. She also led cancer support groups both in person and online.
Dr. Archer served on Thrive’s Board of Directors from 2017 until her passing in April 2024. Her role at Thrive included Grants Committee and as an advisor to the BOD and TAC on a number of mental health issues related to programming. She directly impacted hundreds of students as a mentor to Thrive’s Teen Advisory Council Leadership Program and served as a panelist and instructor at Thrive programs. Prior to her passing, plans were underway for Dr Archer to join Thrive monthly for an “ask the doc” Instagram Live Show to answer teens questions around mental health.
“Danielle was a trusted friend and she leaves a big hole in my heart and in our organization,” says Thrive Clermont founder, Sheri Lewin.
Thrive Clermont has established the Dr. Danielle Archer Fund to memorialize her contributions to our community and to raise funds for future programs that support mental wellness. The funds raised will support student access to mental health resources through Thrive’s existing year-round programs serving Central Florida youth with specific outreach efforts and incentives to our community partners serving disadvantaged youth in South Lake County.
Supporters of Thrive Clermont will gather on October 4th to honor Dr. Danielle Archer’s legacy in the organization. For more information and to make donations to Thrive Clermont in honor of Dr. Danielle Archer visit www.thriveclermont.org/donate
