Summer PopUps FAQ

Got questions about the 2019 Summer PopUps? We've got answers!

What are the Summer PopUps?

Thrive Clermont's Summer PopUps is a summer skillbuilding series just for teens held on Tuesday evenings in June. Teens can choose from a variety of topics including cake decorating, photography, fishing, self-defense and more!

When/where are they held?

Summer PopUps start at 6:00 PM every Tuesday. Check-in starts at 5:30 at the Clermont City Center:

620 W Montrose St

Clermont, FL 34711

Individual activities take place at various venues in the Downtown Clermont area.

Can my 12 year old participate?

No. Thrive Clermont's programs are for teens ages 13-18 only. Lake Sumter State College offers Kids College for 12 and under. You can learn more about this program here

What happens if it rains?

Unless there is a tropical storm, Thrive Clermont's Summer PopUps will go on as scheduled, rain or shine, and those who signed up for outdoor activities will be able to choose a replacement activity held inside, free of charge.

How do I register?

Select the date you want to register for here, and then select one activity from the list and hit "checkout". If you are a parent registering your teen, please make sure to register in your name and not their own. If you are registering siblings, you will need to go through the registration screen twice so they can each have their own ticket.

I cannot afford the $10 program fee. Can my teen still participate?

More information about our scholarship program is coming soon!

Are refunds available if my teen can't make it to the event?

Unfortunately our ticketing software does not allow for refunds. If you can't make it to an event, you may choose between donating the fee or receiving a credit for a future event.

What is being served for dinner?

Food is donated by local businesses and will vary by evening. However, we will have a vegitarian/gluten-free option every night. Please email if you have any specific dietary restrictions.
