Q: When are you offering training?
A: We are planning to offer four training sessions in 2019 (depending on funding). Our next opportunity is on June 8, 2019. Sign up for our mailing list to be notified of dates and times for future opportunities.
Q: Is there a limit to the hours a teen can earn through this program?
A: No, teens can earn as many hours as they want/need through this program. You can see our current opportunities here.
Q: Why is there a registration fee for this program?
A: Our 501(c)(3) organization is building an infrastructure to train and place teens in rewarding and impactful volunteer opportunities in south lake county. The 20.00 fee is to partially pay for the training materials to prepare area teens to volunteer in our local existing nonprofits. It also includes the expenses related to our software investment to support teens in scheduling, tracking and reporting their volunteer hours for scholarships and other school requirements. Our cost is about 100.00 per teen for this program. Sponsors like Lucky’s market and south lake hospital and grants from duke energy as well as individual donations to our charity make it possible to bring it to the teens for only 20.00
