Position: Part Time Programs Manager

Start Date: January 4th, 2021

Location: Clermont, FL

We're looking for a highly motivated, energetic, and positive leader to grow our outreach programs designed to empower and engage teens in our community. The ideal candidate is passionate about event planning and ready to help us execute successful and engaging happenings!

Our Programs Manager works directly with the executive director and board of directors to create and implement outstanding events for our teens. Some weekends and holidays may be required depending on event schedule. Local travel within community required. Mileage reimbursed at standard mileage rates.

Responsibilities Include: 

  • Managing the planning and execution of Thrive Clermont programs and events.

  • Assessing completed programs and events through surveys, focus groups and evaluating trends.

  • Coordinating with graphic designer for publicity, brochures, flyers, newsletters, and news releases.

  • Managing volunteers or interns as needed to achieve the goals set forth by Thrive Clermont Board of Directors.

  • Representing Thrive Clermont at select community events and area schools

  • Assisting in the implementation of goals and objectives, and budget recommendations for events and programs.

  • Effectively planning, scheduling, advertising, implement, and evaluating programs and events from start to finish with minimal supervision

Please Note: roles and responsibilities are subject to adjustments as deemed necessary

Requirements: 

  • High School Diploma or GED Required

  • Valid Florida Driver's License

Preferred Skills and Experience: 

  • Time management skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft programs such as Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook

  • Event Planning experience

  • Leadership skills

  • Customer service experience

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Ability to speak in front of large groups

  • Ability to learn new software and methods

  • Ability to multitask
